System Integration

Industrial Standard OPC Communication

The edpm solution is fully OPC compliant, where the in-built edpm Server provides OPC DA/AE/HDA functionality:
- Data Access (DA)
- Alarm and Events (AE)
- Historical Data Access (HDA)

The edpm Server takes care of the following communications:
- I/O's
- Commands (simulator functions like start, stop, snapshots, etc.)
- Alarms and Events
- Historical Data (trends etc)

edpm provides high-speed connectivity to control systems (SCADA, DCSs and PLCs) and historians with on demand updates of field data.

Typical measurements utilized by edpm are:
- Pressure
- Temperature
- Flow
- Liquid level
- Valve positions

3rd Party Integration and External GUI

The edpm Server is the default way of communicating with edpm from 3rd party systems. The edpm Server is also the connection between the edpm basis system (with advisors and managers) and the edpm internal GUI and/or external GUI.

The edpm GUI is based on ASP .net and uses .net API as communication protocol.

Being ASP .net based, the edpm GUI may fully and seamlessly integrate with external GUI platforms, including Microsoft SharePoint, Matrikon Suite and others.

edpm is streamlined for easy plug-in to various packages for field monitoring, control, historical data storage, user interface, process simulation, integrated asset modeling, business suites and custom-made applications. Also, edpm can be easily accessed and controlled from Visual Basic applications, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.

Flexible Solution

edpm has been connected to all the major control systems and historians.
