Ormen Lange Project

Accurate simulations for design and operation of the multiphase pipelines is vital to sound field development and operations.

 

SPT Group’s OLGA technology has significantly contributed to the development of one of the world’s most ambitious offshore developments.

 

The economics of Norway’s deepest gas condensate field was improved significantly by overcoming the challenges of a direct, 120 km tie-back from a deepwater subsea completion development directly to the shore. OLGA enabled detailed
understanding of the dynamics of the produced liquids and gases transported in the tieback pipelines.

 

Continued safe and reliable operation of the pipelines has been ensured by the successful application of the same technology in on-line operator advisors.
