BBLT Project
The BBLT Development is one of Chevron’s “Big 5” Projects.
Located approximately 80 km offshore in approximately 400 m of water, the project has been developed in two phases. First phase developed the Benguela and Belize fields directly from a new integrated drilling and production hub facility and first oil was produced from Belize field in January 2006.
The Lobito and Tomboco fields are produced via subsea wells tied into the central production hub and the control and operation of the production system is supported by SPT Group’s edpm product. With Lobito and Tomboco online, daily production from the facility is expected to peak at approximately 200.000 barrels of oil per day.
