The edpm solution is one of a very few robust, accurate and well-proven online production management systems, enabling the OLGA multiphase pipeline simulator to run in a real-time environment.

The usage of edpm supports a proactive field operation strategy. Operators, supervisors and engineers make more accurate and faster decisions based on up-to-date production data information through the use of calibrated simulation models.

Since its introduction in 2005, the edpm solution has been successfully installed in 18 fields worldwide. No other company has such an extensive track-record with online production monitoring systems for multiphase pipelines.

The edpm solution has been selected as the corporate standard in several of the major oil companies and is rapidly becoming the industry standard. In combination with OLGA, edpm represents the future of model-based field monitoring and control technology dedicated to the oil and gas industry. This is supported by SPT Group, which provides the commitment to long term partnership.

Through edpm, SPT Group has developed a complementary product suite to OLGA, with a focus on online monitoring and control of production systems. edpm includes functionality for model tuning, user applications (e.g. advisors for gas-lift, cool-down and sand transportation) and OLGA handling capabilities that are technically unique.

SPT Group is the sole developer and owner of both OLGA and edpm. The OLGA software is being sold in the open marketplace (with hundreds of users globally), while edpm currently is an internal product being used by SPT Group in project deliveries for our customers. However, SPT Group has recently introduced edpm partnership programs for selected companies.
